Where the Mochronicle stands

Mochronicle's Unanswered Questions

1. Are the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan making America safer ?

2. If you have nothing to hide, then are you willing to live in a police state ?

3. Is the "Too Big To Fail" rhetoric just another way of saying to small businesses "you are too small to buy off politicians ?"

4. Does partisanship stop cheerleaders from voting with their heart and brain. Does it give a green light for Obama or Bush (your favored politiion) the right to do anything they want, with your blessing ?

The fairly Reliable Source

In the tech world, technology and "new media's" foothold always running slow a foot. But in the old Media world everyone is running scared, arms flailing in disbelief and dumbstruck stich. The internet is waiting patiently to absorb those advertising dollars. The surgence of google should have been a taunting hint years ago as it constructed its empire that quickly
snowballed toward billions of add revenue. Where did those advertising dollars come from ? Thin air - I Think Not !

So newspapers are dying and online media will take its place. The formula for success is to hire less writters, have a good format (ie: interactive internet like the Mochronicle), and a reliable network of citizen x bloggers throughout the world. A reporters job is/was/and will always be to collect information and write a story with that information. Good information, good story = substance. We no longer need salary reporters in every country in the world. We need reliable reporters that can give us acurate reporting, so the success of the "new" online media will depend on the reliability and trustworthiness of the source, wherever they may be.

Government subsidized media is a bad deal in the end. Such as the Iraq War, Afghanistan War, Health Care, and the patriot act, the beauty in political actions are judged on the eye of the beholder. Just as no republican wants his tax dollars to go towards liberal ideas, democratics would not want their tax dollars spent on  Republican plans. The government already controls the media, trying to discredit the media, stipulations on war coverage, the unloading of our coffins, or asking for positive coverage on the war. Writting positive things about the war is something you need on your resume if you ever wanted to be implanted into the war zone.
The president has asked the networks to convey community service messages into their programing. So if you think that the government should give tax dollars to prop up old media, then you will be happy, only when your dude is in office. Republicans are liking to this approach because old conservative people read more newspapers than those young liberal online punks. But it seems we throw away capitalism rules when we want to prop up failing industries. No thats not capitalism, its not socialism, there's another word for that. And we don't need government to buddy up and cooperate with the Media any more than it does already. They've secured deals with the banks, the auto industry, the housing market, the drug companies, and soon the healthcare insurance companies. If you're gonna deal with the devil, there will be hell to pay.

War on the Home Front
A facebook friend who hasn't heard from her husband for quite sometime, sprouted a long thread from her comment "I hate you war", someone had the nerve to say "some wars are worth fighting for", well that dude's wife is probably not over there, and how would he feel about the war if his wife came back in a coffin. Well, he would have the rest of his life to think on that one. Now the case is overwhelming for such 'worthy' wars such as our revolutionary war, our civil war, and world wars 1 and 2, but to regurgitate the B.S. that is fed to us every day that if we do not continue these wars, one that has lasted over 8 yrs and the other over bad intelligence, that we will be less safe. And that somehow the longer we are over there and the more people we kill will pacify and destroy the terrorists is utterly insane. There were terrorist plots on American soil long before the war and there will be long after the war that is... if it ever ends. But the more bombs we drop and the more people we kill over there is definitely, definitely not making the United States or the world a safer place to live. God Bless America, and no one else.

Now the shooting that happened last night in Fort Hood Texas does not surprise me at all. Our soldiers have been under enormous stress during war time. There have been many suicides and PTSD murders of soldier’s wives or others. But you will find people of every walk of life that cannot cope with their problems and they snap. Just regular Joes that have never fired a gun nor ever had the threat of shipping off to a war that they see as wrong. And then you get to the military level, the stress and pressures that are placed onto them, an older, wiser, soldier may be a more dangerous one if he cannot come to terms with fighting in a war he cannot stomach. There have been stories, not this one, but some soldiers that disagree with the war have gone AWOL. This shrink took a more direct approach. I presume the media and country will be worried about how this happened and trying to prevent it from happening again, but it is just a hiccup from all the other problems I just mentioned. This world is made up of all sorts, many different types of people, and many of them with seemingly impossible problems in their lives to solve. And many depressed people that no matter how much money they have, how much love from their family they are given, how much drugs they take, (of course these play a role) from time to time depression or anxiety will push some people over the edge. This time it was the war, possibility of deployment and someone that could not cope with it.

Sadly there are many unheralded men and women who signed the contract and now find themselves fighting a war that they do not believe in, and they suck it up and do their job to the best of their ability. But shame on our government. Shame on the Christians, and shame on the Obama-bots and the rest of us who continue to support the war and see it as such an American and righteous thing we are doing, thinking that it is making our country safer, and accepting it as is without thoughtful debate.

   Please don't tax me anymore.
Jet lag on hope and change.

(in the spirit of Gaddafi's rambling style)

Lefties and Righties want the government to have less power in our lives-- EXCEPT when it is convenient in supporting their morals. You sheeples need to stop blaming the government for getting to big and start looking in the mirror. You.. YOU want the government to protect you by bombing other countries and killing as many people as it takes to get to the root of this terrorist problem. You want the government to take care of your health needs, and you will complain when they fail, when they ask too much, or they have to cut your healthcare off. You want the government to fix your roads, and you want the government to give your children a good education. You ask a lot from your government but you don't want your taxes raised, and if you are a republican, then you don't even want rich peoples taxes raised, even if you're not rich. You think that if taxes are raised on the rich and large corporations than it will sour jobs and the economy. But do you know that the large corporations that you want to protect are moving as many assets and jobs overseas in oder to be more profitable. Do you know that they are pouring millions of dollars into campaign contributions in order to leverage our representatives ? When in power, Republicans didn't pay for the stuff they wanted to do, and the democrats aren't now. And everything that was evil about Bush, wars, the patriot act, hidden prisons, powerful companies allowed to rape and pillage including oil, drug, health care, auto, and the banks still continue and flourish under the Obama regime. He is right about hope.. hope that will be kept at bay. And change, change that means we are now getting screwed by a different party and basicaly the same party. I will believe in change when any one of the following happens:
1. we pull out of both wars, Iraq would be a start
2. we undo the patriot act and lower the powers of homeland spying and suspension of habeus corpus.
3. we build some frickn wind mills and solar fields.
4. we offer universal health care to the states that want to experiment with it.
5. We allow people to peacefully demonstrate without being arrested and/or tear gassed.

But it is my belief that none of these will ever happen under the Republican and Democrat parties that have this country by the balls.

Aug 22   Debunking Health Care Reform
I guess if you're an Obama-bot or a Republican you've already made up your mind on Health Care Reform and there is no need to listen to another opinion that is not your fancy. But let me squeeze in-between the two for a second. Why do we need Health Care Reform, well there are reasons why many sides would be interested in either reforming the old system or perhaps would like an exemption from any future reform. We already know that the drug companies have made a deal with the White House to play ball. I'm sure an old issue for the insurance companies, that would soon be a problem for the government if they get into the insurance game, is trying to collect from people who cannot or do not want to pay for medical treatment and the procedures that their insurance does not fully cover. These deadbeats (sarcasm) just throw away their bills when they get them, and the health insurance companies have to hire a collection agency to try and collect the hard earned money owed to them. There is language in the bill that would allow the government real time access to everyone's bank accounts for the purpose of direct payments. Problem solved. A little something for the doctors, how about a small fee for talking to their patients about end of life planning? Free advice... why, if you can put a fee on it?
Why not the obvious solution if its mostly about the poor uninsured Americans. Why don't we just extend Medicade and Medicare to anyone not insured ? Ohh, because that would cost too much, added expense piled onto the deficit at least without raising taxes to pitchfork levels. If we are worried about the deficit and this gapping wound of Medicade and Medicare, then wouldn't it seem that the correction that needs to be made is to pump more money into it. How would you do that? By making the young and healthy people get onto the government insurance program. That way the young healthy Americans could supplement Medicade and Medicare. Furthermore, if we’re seeking a balanced system then Government Health Care must also start acting like the cut throat private Health Insurance companies. The way insurance companies make money is by charging more for their insurance premiums than they pay out. Furthermore the way you make more money is by denying as many insurance claims as you can. There has been a lot of talk about making the insurance companies provide better coverage with fewer denials. Of course what do you do when you come to the bargaining table, you always ask for more than what you need and then take items off the table to make a deal. The government has the upper hand, so they can ask for an unreasonable amount from the health insurance companies then simply take it off the table when the insurance companies are on board. Believe me, everyone is on board, but the public, Joe Pitchfork. The Mochronicle does not support and Health Care Reform except the single-payer option.

Aug 19,
In a perfect world we are not, nor do we seek

All human life should be treasured, no human being is more important than the next. Humane conditions on how you would like to be treated if accused should be granted to all walks of life.
Why don't we (Americans) just be honest with ourselves. We believe that American lives are worth more than other people's lives, well except for those radical muslums that are accused of being a terrorist threat. These people, we believe, should be held indefinately without trial and tortured to pry the truth from the evil souls. If you walked out of a store and the store clerk accuses you of stealing something, you would want a speedy and fair trial, and not tortured into giving a guilty plea to your captors. But that would just be silly if we are talking about national security. I need to actually stop saying "we", because I and other do not actually think with this condescending American attitude towards foreign human beings. But many people think that it is then ok to torture the hell out of these accused terrorists and lock them away forever without a trial. Republicans that want to think Bush was harder try and forget the hundreds of Guantanemo Bay captives released under his administration, are you the same people that thinks they should have been held forever and ever, being tortured everyday until they die ?
On the other hand you have the Obama-bots that now try to rational indefinate detention of people determined to be a threat to national security but not actually tried for any crime, just locked away and forgotten about. Obama has talked about this also with very little big press.

Aug 17   Obama throws money away, ignores the Mochronicle's request to use stimulous money to make jobs.
Obama pours money into gas guzzling trucks, an $18 million web-site, and $20 million towards a blackwater contract to fly (stuff) into Iraq. Monies spent on the latter two could have gone towards the Mochronicle's planned economic stimulous package that would pay Americans $10/hr to dig holes and then to fill them back in. 2,280 jobs that could have been created this year in place of Obama's propoganda spewing web-site, and hiring blood stained mercenaries to take care of the light work that our soldiers are paid to do. Oh and where are our electric cars and wind mills ? Let's get started on that shall we, any day.. tap tap tap...

Aug 14   Vick And The Blood On Our Hands
Michael Vick gets reinstated, hired by Philadelphia Eagles. Convicted dog torturer lands $1.6 million contract with a team's 2nd year option of $5.2 million. Meanwhile Donte Stallworth convicted of manslaughter while driving drunk gets a year's suspension. I think PETA and friends will spend too much time being angry at Vick and anyone that supports him, meanwhile we're dropping bombs and shooting innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Is collateral damage of innocent civilians better, more reasonable, more humane than what Michael Vick has done? Well it's easier to talk about one more than the other. If any of the biggest conspiracy's about the war are true, then I would have to go with the one about creating democracies to promote God's true power of Capitalism, while at the same time breaking up the Muslim empire.
Listen to Democracy Now's interview with a mole who uncovers the powerful C Street Center that is seeking this new world order. Maybe a pipeline will someday run through Afghanistan, our oil companies are sure getting good contracts in Iraq. More money is being spent (given) to private contractors than our soldiers. One private contractor (Black Water) that keeps screwing up keeps getting more contracts. It seems that the more poppy fields that we burn and destroy, the higher yields Afghanistan comes up with. I guess Sadaam is dead and little Bush finished what his daddy started. But when our country is broke and we've found no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq..... yet. And that crazy guy Osama is no longer in Afghanistan, nope, not in Iraq either. We are still sending our children over there to blow up people and establish a democracy that will last. Well you can see how our Democracy is working as people continue to spew hatred and fear at the town hall meetings and on the news and radio. Your decisions on everything is based on mostly propaganda. The only way we can get a grasp on what is real, what is true, and what is right is by weighing all the facts, listening to good debates and asking questions on everything. You can't just love an idea or hate an idea because of the party you voted for. Democracy is a great system as long as you and your party are in control. We will have the same opinion on our new democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan. But the bottom line is that we've been duped into spending (overspending) valuable resources to create pop-up democracies, and instead of booing Vick as he runs into the end zone, we need to wipe the blood off of our own hands first.

Aug 13   Obama slams Post Office
You can see how others have weighed in on Obama's comments about competition between the Post Office and Fed Ex and the other one on the Mochronicle REEL links above.
The Post Offices financial troubles are less to do with it being a government entity and more to do with a business model that is no longer sustainable. The reason the Post Office can check your mail box nearly everyday is not because it is being supported by the small price of postage someone may use a few times a week or just a couple times a month. But Americans' 6-day service is supported a good deal by mass advertisements (junk mail). Raising fuel expences, declining advertisements and 1st class letters are having a devestating impact not seen by its competitors UPS and the other one. UPS and Fed Ex do not stop by every house in America 6 days a week. And even if they were allowed to deliver mail to everyone's mailbox, do not for one second think that they would. The Post Office provides America with a vital service, it is not a slim trim box delivery boy nor does it offer just a high end charge to mail a single letter. They also have limited stops by their trucks, not all households. The Post Office is a service to all. And if you would compare it to health care (insurance). then basically its not like a government run program, because it doesn't turn away customers, you pay to mail (pay as you go). This Health Care Reform is really a way that we can pay for insuring everyone. That means we will have to make concessions to elderly and non productive citizens. Just ask any Canada and England. We CANNOT provide the very best health care for everyone. And this is the same problem with private health care, no matter what you pay, no matter how sick you get, no matter how much you think you love your insurance, they have to make a profit. Their bottome line at the end of the day is that they must  make a profit. Fed Ex and UPS's bottome line is profitability. The USPS's bottome line is it must be sustainable. Obama's new Health Care plan's bottom line in the end is to be sustainable by tax dollars. So the only question is... how much do we want to pay, and who gets left out.

Mochronicle's official Stance on the issues of today

The Mochronicle stands For:

Independent thinking.
Absorbing media through triangulation.
Looking at several sides of an issue and coming up with an independent conclusion by weighing all data and sorting the propaganda from all points of view.

Anti-Brain Washing Techniques, clear your thoughts and ideals by considering that all of your thoughts and values are a cause/effect injected through propaganda, and other influences from your surroundings.

Civil Unions (as society sees fit), if people agree to gay unions, than that's ok. If people agree to polygamy, then that's ok. This is supposed to be a democracy, and everyone should have the same freedom as the next person as long as society deems it acceptable. (And no, I'm not for polygamy)

Supporting any party over the bi-opolized 2 party system that we have succumb to.

Immediate withdrawal from Iraq,  Afghanistan, and anywhere except our 50 States.

Building 10 million windmills-- like yesterday.

Building 10 million acres of solar panel fields.

Government research into electric cars, with the option of production or selling the rights to American car manufacturers.

Single payer Health Care System

worker unions and rights

The Mochronicle is Against:

Cap and Trade scheme, (pay to pollute) as a way to curb the worlds harmful affects on the environment.

Marriage entangled with personal beliefs and government unions. Marriage has become a joke. Divorce rates are high- let's face it it, it has now become (by our own standards) a temporary government contract between two people. Not forever. Not Anymore. Get married in your church, but get a civil union through your government.

Nuclear energy, Coal energy, Oil from foreign countries. There are cleane ways to create energy that could create many U.S. jobs. What are we dragging our feet for ?

Powerful international companies that influence government and are to big to fail.

Bailing out any large companies without a complete dismantling of management and complete control by the government until it can be sold off

Bailing out Banks without a complete dismantling of management and complete control handed over to the government

Conflicts of interest of policy makers, advisors, the Whitehouse, judges, and their advisors. In which they have substantial gains or losses through the policies that they make or that their current or former companies may have interest in. These include George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Al Gore.

The continued occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan

United States interference with Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan's politics.
