What The Boise Letter Is Doing

We are posting petitions on the APWU and other union boards that are
 asking our U.S. Representatives
to support the bill HR 1351 that will allow the Post Office to get relief from the billions of dollars that the it has overpaid the government, and to do away the law that requires the Post Office to prefund 75 years worth of pensions in only 10 years, a law forcing the USPS to pay $5.5 billion annualy.
Every Postal Employee, every craft, any position, and the general public that is concerned about the Post Office and economy is
urged to sign this petition. We will then take all these pettitions that we can gather from Idaho and hand them to the offices of our 2 house representatives in the next couple of weeks. Please sign ! If you want to start a petition in your area and have us deliver it to him, please contact us at
mochronicle@yahoo.com

In the meantime,
please contact your Congressman (click on the links to the left). It will aslo help to call him and let them know your thoughts. Heavy phone calls on a specific subject will make a difference. Also write to your congressman, the addresses are given below.

Letter From the Editor

I called Senator Risch's office this morning, the staff member that answered could not let me know where the Senator stands on the future of the USPS, layoffs, breaking contracts, or privatization talks. She took my address and told me the Senator would write to back on these issues. Please call your Congressman and ask questions, and let them know what your thoughts are.
